First Woman to be commander of New College RMA, Sandhurst and First Woman President Army Officer Selection Board

Lieutenant Colonel Lucy Giles RLC was the first ever woman in British History to be made New College Commander at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2015. Lucy was made Sandhurst Commander at the age of 46 – the first female to head New College in the 68 years since it was formed and the only female Commander in Sandhurst’s history of over 200 years. Lieutenant Colonel Lucy Giles is a First Women UK Ambassador.
