First Woman to become Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse

In 2012, Josie Rourke, a British theatre and film director, became the first woman Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse in London. Josie’s work as a stage director includes productions at the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Court Theatre, Broadway and the West-End. Josie was the first woman to be appointed the Artistic Director of a major London Theatre.
