Alison de Burgh joined the actors’ union Equity’s list of registered Fight Directors in 2000 – the first woman in history to do so since Equity was formed in 1930. A former Lady Champion of the British Long Bow Society, it took Alison eight years of training to achieve her place among scores of men who have had the same profession for over 80 years.
