In 2014 Megan Swann became The Magic Circle’s first female officer when she was appointed organisation secretary at the age of 22. This international organisation has represented magicians for over a century. Despite having accepted female members for 23 of those 100 years of activity, still less than 100 members of the 1,400 strong organisation are women.
