First Woman to officiate in a World Championship snooker final

Michaela Tabb began refereeing professionally on the pool circuit in 1997. After qualifying in 2001 to referee on the professional snooker tour, she went on to become the sport’s highest profile female referee. In 2002 at the age of 35, she became the first woman to officiate at a professional ranking snooker tournament in the game’s history, the first woman to referee a ranking tournament final in 2007 and the only woman ever to have refereed the World Snooker Championship finals (in 2009 and 2012).
