First Woman President of the International Meteoritical Society

A British Space Scientist, in 2013 Monica Grady became the first UK scientist to be made President of The International Meteoritical Society. The society was founded in 1933 with an emphasis on studies of meteorites and other extra-terrestrial materials. Since 2005, Grady has been Professor of Planetary and Space Sciences at the Open University. She was appointed CBE in 2012 for her services to space sciences.
