First Woman Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons

Reverend Rose is the 79th Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons and in 2010 became the first woman in over 300 years to hold the post, aged 49 years. She was ordained a priest in 1994, in the first year that the Church of England ordained women to the priesthood. She was appointed Chaplain to the Queen in 2007, the first black woman to hold this role. Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin is a First Women UK Ambassador.
