First Woman to be ordained as a Bishop (Lutheran)

Jana was ordained pastor in 1997 and was consecrated as Bishop in the Lutheran Church in Great Britain in 2009 aged 55, making her the first female Bishop in England (predating the Church of England). Lutheranism, which is a major branch of Protestant Christianity, found its roots in the 16th century and has to date around 80 million adherents.
